Harry Clarkson on Tallyho Tina

11 Apr 2019

Tina proves that fairytales do happen!

Once upon a time there was a filly born at Tweenhills that sadly was never going to be quite big enough to make a racehorse...

She was nicknamed "Tiny Tina" and was pointed at an alternative career on the pony racing circuit.

On Monday, a plan hatched years ago was pulled off to a treat as she won a pony race at Ascot Racecourse under young rider Harry Clarkson, son of Redvers' family friends The Clarksons.

As if that wasn't special enough, Harry was proudly wearing the Redvers' colours!

"Tiny Tina" is by Ishiguru - who stood at Tweenhills for seven seasons until his death aged 11 in 2009 - and is now officially named Tallyho Tina.

She was broken in by Tim Rusbridge, who now breaks in many of the Qatar Racing horses, and spent the first part of her pony racing career with another very promising young rider and friend of Tweenhills, George Daly.

Many congratulations to Team Clarkson and we cannot wait to see Tina on track again.
