Havana Gold two-year-olds set to hit the Breeze Up Sales

Not only is the start of the Flat season on the turf looming but also there are various Breeze-Up Sales and it is not too late to purchase some cracking two-year-olds by sires standing at Tweenhills.

First season sire Havana Gold is represented by five two-year-olds at the Goffs UK Breeze Up Sale on 11th and 12th April.

Heading them up is a colt out of a half-sister to Gr.1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Belmez, and Opera Comique, dam of Gr.1 Arlington Million Stakes winner Debussy consigned by Lynn Lodge Stud (Lot 139 - see walking video below). Lynn Lodge Stud are also offering a Havana Gold two-year-old at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale from the family of dual Gr.1 winner Almutawakel (Lot 74).

Eddie O'Leary from Lynn Lodge Stud said: "I have two Havana Gold two-year-olds and they are really impressing me. They are super movers with great temperaments and should make excellent racehorses."


At the Goffs UK Breeze-Up, another two-year-old related to several Gr.1 winners is a half-brother to Grendisar, winner of the Gr.3 Coral Winter Derby, from the family of Champion two-year-old filly Necklace, and Gr.1 winners Colorspin, Kayf Tara, Opera House, Zee Zee Top and Izzi Top, consigned by The Bloodstock Connection (Lot 72 - see walking video below).

In addition, Yeomanstown Stud consign a Havana Gold colt out of a winning daughter of Step Danzer, placed second in the Italian Oaks and dam of multiple Group winner Fanunalter (Lot 15 - see walking video below); and Ballycullen Stakes offers a colt out of half-sister to multiple Stakes winner Riberac (Lot 37 - see walking video below).

Havana Gold also has a filly out of the Stakes performer Suerte Loca from the family of Stakes winners Trafalger, Etizaaz, Santolina, and Swain consigned by Mocklershill at the Breeze-Up (Lot 95).

In addition at the Goffs UK Breeze Up Sale, second season sire and sire of Gr.2 Prix Robert Papin two-year-old winner Tis Marvellous, Harbour Watch has two lots headed up by a filly out of a half-sister to Gr.2 winner Herboriste and Singing Field, dam of the US Stakes performing and EBN Porter Performer of the Week filly Fields Of Song, also by Harbour Watch, consigned by Church Farm & Horse Park Stud (Lot 81); and Brown Island Stables consign a colt out of a daughter of US Gr.2 winner Radu Cool (Lot 136).

Before these two-year-olds hit the market though is the Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Breeze-Up Sale on 4th and 5th April, where first-season sire Havana Gold has four two-year-olds on offer, including several exciting well bred fillies out of Stakes winners

Consigned by Longways Stables is a filly out of US Gr.2 and Gr.3 winner Up In Time (Noverre) (Lot 52); and Hyde Park Stud offer a filly out of multiple Stakes winner and Gr.1 placed Esloob (Diesis), a daughter of Gr.1 Yorkshire Oaks winner Roseate Tern (Lot 88). In addition, Hillwood Stud consign a filly out of a Pivotal half sister to multiple Stakes winners Alexis, Freshwater Pearl and Miss Helga (Lot 69).

At this sale Havana Gold also has a colt out of the Stakes placed Arex Choix (Choisir), a half-sister to Gr.3 winnerEmerald Star, offered by top Breeze-Up consignor Bansha House Stables (Lot 62).

Harbour Watch is represented at the Ascot Sale by a half-brother to multiple winner and Stakes performer Eva Kant(Medicean) out of a half-sister to Stakes winner Fashionable, dam of multiple Group winner and Gr.1 performer Jack Naylor, consigned by Clunemore Lodge (Lot 33).
